What Moves Me
A visual collection of inspiration
Project Info
What Moves Me: A visual collection of inspiration is a series of collectible blind box art toys based on things that have inspired me throughout my graphic design journey–essentially an archive of my thought processes for the future that I can continue to build upon as I create more and more series of figures. I 3D modeled each figure in Womp, then printed and hand-painted five unique Mini Baris, each representing a different source of inspiration: anime, risograph, art nouveau, post-modern, and the elusive SUPER ULTRA RARE Bari chaser. The Bari base—a stylized, abstracted interpretation of the female form—represents a personal, characterized sense of self. These toys are physical snapshots of influence and identity, created through color, shape, and form.
The packaging is just as considered as the figures inside. I designed simple, clean boxes with a strong sense of ambiguity—nothing on the outside reveals what’s within. Each one features hand-painted spot varnish to add subtle shine and texture, creating a tactile unboxing experience. With What Moves Me, I wanted to build something intimate, playful, and meaningful—a visual and physical collection of the things that continue to move me as a designer.
